Pay: $34.00–$36.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.

Position Summary:
Pristine Elegance Corp. is seeking a qualified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor to provide substance-use assessment, counseling, intervention, prevention, and education services to adolescents and young adults in a structured residential education environment.

The selected professional will collaborate with medical, mental-health, counseling, education, and wellness personnel to help participants overcome substance-use concerns that may affect their education, employment readiness, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct substance-use screenings and assessments.
  • Provide individual counseling, brief interventions, and support groups.
  • Develop intervention plans and treatment recommendations.
  • Provide referrals to community treatment resources when appropriate.
  • Support individuals with co-occurring substance-use and mental-health concerns.
  • Conduct substance-use prevention and education presentations.
  • Coordinate wellness and prevention activities.
  • Assist with drug and alcohol testing procedures.
  • Follow chain-of-custody requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation.
  • Complete required reports and attendance records.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and training.
  • Follow HIPAA, safety, infection-control, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Promptly report behavioral, clinical, and safety concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Active substance-abuse counseling license or certification recognized in South Dakota.
  • Experience providing substance-use counseling, assessments, or treatment planning.
  • Ability to work with adolescents and young adults.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to maintain confidential health information.
  • Ability to pass applicable background screening.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain professional liability insurance.
  • Reliable transportation to the work location.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in youth services, behavioral health, residential education, or community treatment.
  • Experience conducting support groups and prevention presentations.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA-compliant documentation.
  • Experience with substance-testing and chain-of-custody procedures.
